“We actively started the interview process and finally decided to select a stream of young agronomists who have graduated from various agricultural fields and have relevant specialties. As a result, out of 200 people, we selected 10 young agronomists who are oriented towards knowledge and development. We mobilized the relevant funds as much as possible and started the project from the beginning of this year  Let’s start. This course includes 3-year intensive training, by which we mean both theoretical and practical training of highly qualified personnel of the local level in Georgia, as well as specialists invited from abroad. We bought lands in different districts for trial and demonstration purpose and assigned specific places to work to all these young agronomists”, says Ioseb Mefarishvili.

According to the 15-year experience and observation of the director of the company, it has been the last 5 years that young people have shown great interest in the agricultural direction.

“In general, Georgia is an agrarian and very diverse country, both in terms of soil and climatic conditions.  We can actually produce all cultures successfully. Accordingly, there was a desire among young people that  With the help of modern technologies, we can get the highest quality and abundant harvest possible. this  Of course, it is necessary to develop and bring new technologies to Georgia, which our company actively tries to do every year. We want to transfer modern technologies from successful foreign companies  The project of young agronomists is also considered. In particular, all these technologies are tested, “reported” on the test-demonstration plots.  Then the comparison is made in the direction of both new varieties and plant protection products and fertilizers. We also pay a lot of attention  biological direction.  All this is done by young agronomists on a daily basis, then they go through the issues with scientific consultants and analyze the results, which are summarized at the end of the year together with successful farmers and their representatives, as well as within the company, together with scientific consultants. After that, we choose  We can implement those successful technologies in different regions and in different cultures”, says Ioseb Mefarishvili.

It should be noted that “smart” products are being tested and implemented within the project. “Baraka” recently invited a Spanish specialist from the successful company “Simborg”, which has quite high-level technologies and interesting findings. For example, this is a symbiotic fungus –  “Mycoap” , which lives with the root in the culture and helps it to supply additional water and actively absorb nutrients. accordingly,  The plant enters flowering earlier and yields much more.

“Baraka” young agronomists, in the regions where they have assigned specific areas, are in daily monitoring with farmers, make visits, study the background of harmful diseases, observe their spread and thanks to our scientific consultants,  They are already independently identifying clear problems”, – notes Ioseb Mefarishvili.

According to him, along with the growth of the “Baraka” company, in the future it is planned to add young agronomists who will be trained faster and with great experience.
