ADOB®️ Fe HBED – 7% is a specialized fertilizer designed to correct iron deficiency in plants under high pH conditions (over 7.5). Due to the patented production process, ADOB®️ Fe HBED – 7% is characterized by several unique properties.
- The total iron concentration in the product (7% w/w) is 100% chelated by the HBED chelating agent and since the product does not contain optical isomers, the total iron concentration is completely effective and available to plants.
- There are no chiral carbons in the product, no isomers, so all the iron content is available to plants. Compared to the best Fe EDDHA 6% (4.8% ortho-ortho), the product contains 45% more plant-available iron.
- Unlike other chelated Fe fertilizers, ADOB®️ Fe HBED 7%, with its constant stability (at K=10-39), is effective even in highly alkaline conditions (up to pH 12). Product performance is not affected by the presence of copper in the soil or other products used with ADOB®️ Fe HBED. Because HBED chelating agent is also used in medicine to treat patients with various iron disorders, the product is not only safe for humans but also for the environment.
- The fertilizer is 100% water soluble, free from dust. The product is not hygroscopic and self-dissolving, does not require stirring.
Iron is crucial in the redox reaction of various cytochromes during respiration and photosynthesis. It is also involved in the functioning of oxidative enzymes such as catalase and peroxidase, as well as in the biosynthesis of chlorophyll. In addition, it participates in various stages of nitrate reduction in plants. The most common symptom of iron deficiency, leaf chlorosis, is mainly caused by the inability of plant roots to take up iron when it is in the Fe3+ oxidation state and when its solubility is extremely low (< 10-15 m). This is directly related to its tendency to form Fe hydroxides, oxyhydroxides and oxides in gaseous alkaline soils. ADOB®️ Fe HBED – 7% provides rapid correction of iron deficiency and treats the physiological disorders listed above. Primarily recommended for foliar application, hydroponics and fertigation. Recommended for preventive and corrective purposes in all agricultural and horticultural crops.
