WOOPER

INSECTO-FUNGICIDE; SEED TREATMENT

FLOWABLE CONCENTRATE FOR SEED TREATMENT (FS)

Active Consistent: Imidacloprid 140 g/L+ Pencycuron 150 g/L

Wooper is an insect-fungicide used to treat potato tubers for the control of Colorado beetles, aphids, and rhizoconiosis.

MODE OF ACTION:

WOOPER has systemic action and at the same time contact with harmful organisms. Imidacloprid, the insecticidal active component, forms around the tubers a protective halo through which the contact action on the insects in the soil is manifested. Subsequently, imidacloprid systemically enters the tubers and is therefore distributed acropetally to the aerial parts of plants, acting on the pests during the vegetation period. Pencicuron, the fungicide component, has contacting action, preventing rhinocytosis infections that may have as a source of the infectious seed used in planting, or plant debris incorporated into the soil.

RESISTANCE WARNING:

GROUP 20 FUNGICIDE
GROUP 4A INSECTICIDE

For resistance management Wooper is a Group 20 fungicide and Group 4A insecticide.

Some naturally occurring fungal populations resistant to Wooper and other Group 20 fungicides may exist through normal genetic variability in any fungal population. The resistant individuals can eventually dominate the fungal population if these fungicides are used repeatedly. These resistant fungi will not be controlled by Wooper or other Group 20 fungicides, thus resulting in a reduction in efficacy and possible yield loss.

Some naturally occurring insect biotypes resistant to Wooper and other Group 4A insecticides may exist through normal genetic variability in any insect population. The resistant individuals can eventually dominate the insect population if Wooper and other Group 4A insecticides are used repeatedly. The effectiveness of Wooper on resistant individuals could be significantly reduced.

COMPATIBILITY

Wooper is compatible with most growth regulators and mineral fertilizers.

However, in in every case, especially when mixed with micro fertilizers, all mixtures should be tested prior to mixing commercial quantities.
