SECRET

SELECTIVE HERBICIDE

CONCENTRATED AQUEOUS EMULSIONS (EW)

Active Consistent: Fenoxaprop-p-ethyl 69 g/L+ Cloquintocet-mexyl 34.5 g/L

SECRET has selective control of wild oats and annual Phalaris in wheat, barley, triticale and cereal rye crops.

GENERAL INSTRUCTION:

Results are best under good growing conditions. Application to weeds or crop under stress (e.g. due to continuous severe frosts, nutrient deficient, diseased, dry or waterlogged conditions) should be avoided. Generally, the best yield advantage will come from controlling weeds as early as possible.

COMPATIBILITY:

Mixtures of SECRET with broadleaf herbicides may lead to a reduction in grass weed control. This reduction can be minimized by closely following all use recommendations and restrictions.

RESISTANT WEEDS WARNING

SECRET Selective Herbicide is a member of the aryloxyphenoxypropionate group of herbicides. SECRRET is a herbicide which inhibits production of acetyl CoA carboxylase. For weed resistance management SECRET is a Group A herbicide. Some naturally occurring weed biotypes resistant to SECRET, and other Group A herbicides, may exist through normal genetic variability in any weed population. The resistant individuals can eventually dominate the weed population if these herbicides are used repeatedly. These resistant weeds will not be controlled by SECRET or other Group A herbicides. Since occurrence of resistant weeds is difficult to detect prior to use, Mckinley trading LP. accepts no liability for any losses that may result from the failure of SECRET to control resistant weeds.

DO NOT make more than one application of a Group A Herbicide to a crop per.

CROP WEED RATE (mL/ha) CRITICAL COMMENTS
Wheat, Barley, Triticale, Cereal Rye Wild oats

(Avena spp.)

475 Apply 3 to 4 weeks after sowing when cereal has 2 to 5 true leaves (Z12 to Z15).

Do not use this rate when wild oats are past the four leaf stage (Z14) or when there are more than 200 plants per square metre

560 Apply generally 3 to 6 weeks after sowing when cereal is usually 2 leaf to early tillering (Z12 to Z22). Aim to apply to actively growing young weeds up to 5 total leaves (1 tiller) (Z14, Z21).
635 Apply up to approximately 10 weeks after sowing to actively growing weeds up to mid tillering (Z22 to Z24)
Annual phalaris (Phalaris minor)

Paradoxa grass

(Phalaris paradoxa)

635 Apply generally 3 to 4 weeks after sowing when cereal usually has 2 to 5 true leaves (Z12 to Z15).

Apply only to weed densities below 200 plants per square metre.

Aim to apply to actively growing young weeds up to 4 total leaves (Z14).

800-1000 Apply generally 4 to 6 weeks after sowing when cereal has usually reached early tillering (Z21 to Z22).

Aim to apply to actively growing young weeds up to 5 total leaves (1 tiller) (Z14, Z21).

DO NOT HARVEST FOR 10 WEEKS AFTER APPLICATION
